NORMAL, Ill. – The Illinois State football team will be playing in front of a packed house on Saturday when it welcomes in No. 19 Southern Illinois, as reserved and general admission seats have sold out for the MVFC home opener. Aaron Leetch Club, student tickets and a limited number of standing-room only spots still remain for the big game against the Salukis on Family Weekend at Hancock Stadium. 

Kickoff between the Redbirds and the Salukis is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT and will air on Marquee Sports Network and stream live on ESPN+. For the first time in program history, the Redbirds will be wearing black uniforms and all fans are encouraged to wear black to the game. This game, in conjunction with Friday night's volleyball game against Valparaiso and Sunday's soccer game against Belmont, is part of the department's "Dark Mode" weekend where all Redbird teams will be wearing dark jerseys and fans are encouraged to wear their black Redbird gear.

The Weisbecker Athletic Fund has also enhanced the Aaron Leetch Stadium Club experience at Hancock Stadium in 2022, and tickets remain in the club for each of the Redbirds' remaining four home contests. The changes are part of a holistic approach to improving the hospitality offerings for Aaron Leetch Club members, and include: 

•    Exclusive Premium Giveaway – For each game this season, Aaron Leetch Club members will receive an exclusive premium giveaway item.  The October 1 game against No. 19 ranked Southern Illinois features a Redbird black jersey koozie. •    Premium Game Day Food Option – Each game members will have a premium menu option to choose for purchase.  Saturday's game will feature sweet chili garlic wings or buffalo wings with siracha slaw. •    Souvenir Popcorn Tub - Purchase of popcorn this year in the Aaron Leetch Club will come with the opportunity to refill your tub throughout the game while the bar is open. •    Signature Cocktail - A rotating menu each game of a signature cocktails will be offered at all Redbird home football games.  Fans will enjoy a Saluki Slammer against Southern Illinois. •    Complimentary Dessert Bar – Courtesy of the Weisbecker Athletic Fund, a complimentary dessert bar will be made available during the third quarter to help fuel fans for the second half action.

ISU students may still purchase individual game tickets by logging online or purchasing a ticket early at the Hancock Stadium box office. Students can also purchase single game tickets based on availability on game day at Hancock Stadium, however quantities will be limited so purchasing early is preferable. Fans who purchased tickets for Saturday's football game are encouraged to download their mobile tickets prior to arriving to the stadium and anyone still looking to attend are encouraged to visit Stubhub, the official secondary ticketing partner of Illinois State Athletics.

Additionally, all fans are encouraged to arrive early to avoid delays at the gates and enjoy what should be a festive game day atmosphere around Hancock Stadium.
