Place 2 Be, an Instagram famous restaurant in Hartford, is officially opening its doors in Springfield on June 1.

“We’re beyond excited to open the doors to The Place 2 Be Springfield and bring our audacious brand and unique brunch experience to Massachusetts,” said Gina Luari, founder and CEO of TP2B. “Guests from the area already make the drive down to our Connecticut locations, so we are thrilled to be able to provide our TP2B energy and bold vibe right in their own backyard.”

The new location will be at Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and will be the restaurant’s largest location, which includes four bars. It is 6,000 square feet, fits about 100 people, has a private event space and features an outdoor patio.

The restaurant has become known for its “always-Instagram-worthy décor.” This will continue in Springfield and “will play into the Basketball Hall of Fame theme with a TP2B Hall of Fame,” the restaurant previously told MassLive. That includes, “balls-themed décor and specialty menu items,” the restaurant said.

“Guests can expect lots of double-entendres and, of course, their well-known bathtub and rubber ducks interior design elements that patrons love for social media moments,” a statement read.

This is the fourth location for the restaurant, all of which were previously located in Connecticut. It originally opened in Hartford in 2016. It has an all-day brunch menu but also serves lunch and drinks.

TP2B Springfield will be open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. It will not accept reservations. Guests can, however, sign up for their waitlist online through the restaurant’s website the day of their visit.
