There's a weekend full of activities happening at Nemacolin this Memorial Day weekend. The resort is also celebrating its 35th anniversary.

“When I first started in the property in 2002, 20 years ago almost to the day, it’s grown so much during that period. We've added Falling Rock, we've added another golf course during that time, we've expanded the rooms…we have seen the golf courses in the best shape that I have ever seen them in 20 years, and that's including during the PGA tournament that we hosted for four years here,” said Trey Matheu, managing director at Nemacolin.

Matheu said The Peak is one of Nemacolin’s newest attractions.

“We opened it, and it's just been a great place for people to gather. We've got bars. We've got a stage,” Matheu said.

Matheu says the year-round pool and hot tub have become a hit among guests, and summer events will center around it, including this year’s Pride event in June.

“This year, we've got Susanne Bartsch, the queen of New York nightlife, coming and helping us to do a Dive & Drag show. It's a pool party. It's a drag show. It's all fun celebrating Pride,” Matheu said.

But before that, there is this weekend’s Memorial Day concert with the B-52s.

“It’s one of those things that are guests are looking for. It's an elevated experience…so you are going to see, you may be here with 350 people watching the B-52s, which you are not going to see, and by the way this kicks off their farewell tour this year,” Matheu said.

Dive & Drag: Pride 2022 is open to the public. For more information, go to this website.
