Elmo “Bones” O’Connor has picked up a slick Spanish Colonial Revival estate on the suburban outskirts of Los Angeles. Records show the 28-year-old rapper, singer and songwriter — best known as founder of the music collective TeamSESH — acquired the revamped 1930s residence in the San Gabriel Valley’s quaint city of Sierra Madre in a bidding war for exactly $4 million, paying around $400,000 over the asking price.
Nestled on a gated corner parcel, and offering picturesque mountain and city lights views, the two-story stucco and terracotta-roof structure has five bedrooms and four baths. A little more than 4,000 square feet of modernized living space is adorned throughout with period details, including hardwood floors, wood-beam ceilings and arched doorways.
A walkway meanders past a sprawling grassy lawn and an ornate fountain on the way to a wood front door, which leads into a double-height foyer displaying decorative magnesite flooring and a curving wrought-iron staircase.
